2009 Illinois High School Association Class A State Championship Runner-Up
The Golden Aces went to Bloomington, Illinois on the 15th of October, 2009 to their 2nd straight Class A State Tournament. After a practice round on the afternoon of the Thursday the 15th, the Aces opened up on Friday, October 16 with a 311 good enough for a tie for first place with the St. Anthony Bulldog's. After a slow-start on Saturday, October 17, the Aces started to regain some strokes but fell only 6 strokes shy of the Bulldogs. Aces golfers Tucker Guisewite and Jared Paddick finished tied for 8th individually, the first top ten finish for an Aces golfer since 1969 when Tom Tinsley finished Runner-Up in the one class state tournament of that year.

The 2010 Illinois High School Association Class A State Champion Mt. Carmel Golden Aces Golf Team
The third time was charm for the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces as they completed the Illinois High School Association 2010 Class A State Tournament as Champions. Held October 15 & 16, 2010 in Bloomington, Illinois at Prairie Vista Golf Course, the Aces defeated their arch golfing nemesis the St. Anthony (Effingham) Bulldogs by 5 strokes to claim the championship hardware. The Aces got to this point after a very successful 74-5 fall campaign with team victories at the Mt. Carmel Invitational, The Newton Invitational, the 2010 Class A Regional at Olney and the 2010 Class A Sectional at Crab Orchard. From left: Chase Witsman, Freshman, Tucker Guisewite, Senior Captain, Grant Williams, Senior Captain, Head Coach "The Legend" John White, The Trophy!, Wade Thompson, Senior Captain, Christian "hero" Seaton, Sophomore, and David Schroeder, Junior. Through the fall campaign, the 3 seniors are 228 -33 for their MCHS golfing careers. This is Coach White's 6th season at the helm and his record is spectacular: One State Championship, One State Runner-Up, 7th in the State, 4 Regional Championships, 3 Sectional Championships, 2 Big 8 Conference Championships, 1 Jasper Invitational Title, 3 Newton Invitational Titles and the inaugural Mt. Carmel Invitational Title. AND, 11 young men and women playing college golf.

A great showing by Lady Aces in the Elks State Golf Tournament! Bob Eckhoff, Elks Tournament Coordinator congrats the winners including Ravyn Rodgers - 3rd (middle) and Kylee Henager 4th (2nd from right). The tournament was held in Pontiac, Illinois.
Ravyn will play this fall for SIUE and Kylee will be a Senior for the Lady Aces this fall
Mt. Carmel's Addy Wallbaum placed 2nd in ther age group - girls 15-16. Addy will be a Sophomore this fall at MCHS and an integral part of the Lady Aces

There is no course in the Tri-State that is as Junior Friendly as Mt. Carmel Golf Course. And it shows! Not only is the junior program the envy of all golf fans everywhere, the course hosts both girl's and boy's high school golf matches and tournaments with hospitality to the extreme! Thanks to the people of Mt. Carmel for allowing the youth to grow and mature on the course!

Christian Seaton places 7th in the 2011 IHSA Class AA State Tourney...
In the year following the State Championship year, Christian Seaton, a member of the State Championship team, finished 7th in the Class AA State Championship held at the Weibring Course in Bloomington, IL. The Aces were bumped up to 2A in 2011 and failed to make it out as a team from the Regional tournament. However, both Chase Witsman and Christian Seaton did advance to the Sectional held at Panther Creek near Springfield, IL. Christian advanced on to the State Tournament and played well! Congratulations Christian!
He and Chase will be back in the fall of 2012 to lead the Aces to another great season with Head Coach John White - a certified legend in golf coaching history. :)
